It is primarily known for its power-train products, which include manual and automatic transmissions and transmission components, such as electro-hydraulic control components, transmission control units, friction materials, and one-way clutches, turbochargers, engine valve timing system components, along with four-wheel drive system components.

Keltia has assisted BorgWarner with both CATIA & Engineering Support. 

FEA Analysis Project

Keltia was required to perform a Finite Element Analysis (FEA) of an automotive component to assess the capacity to react applied torque. Three scenarios were analyzed.

Results & Recommendations

After quickly identifying the key problems. Keltia made a number of recommendations that were incorporated into a new design. these included:

  • Increase the size of component features to reduce stress levels.
  • Reduce stress concentration at the transitions by increasing the corner radii, or other geometrical modifications.
